Charles (Chad) W. Pollard IV is the President and Sole Shareholder of Clair, Thompson & Pollard S.C. Attorney Pollard’s unique focus on civil litigation, including lake rights, and real estate, land use and planning, provides property owners and developers the confidence to move forward with lawsuits and development projects knowing that Pollard has been on both sides of the coin.

Attorney Pollard received a Bachelor of Arts in English from Calvin College in 2009 and a Juris Doctor from Marquette University Law School in 2013, graduating with a Litigation Certificate. He has been admitted to practice law in the State of Wisconsin and the State of Illinois.

Attorney Pollard worked as a legal intern for Jockey International, Inc., a Fortune 500 company headquartered in Kenosha, Wisconsin, assisting their In-House Counsel with corporate tax policies, corporate giveaways, and licensing infringement. He also successfully represented the State of Wisconsin in parental rights trials as a legal intern with the Milwaukee District Attorney’s Office, Children’s Court.

Attorney Pollard presented a riparian rights webinar Understanding Riparian and Water Rights as a panelist for Halfmoon Education, Inc.

Attorney Pollard obtained a judgment at trial removing an unlawful easement pier encroaching upon the Loch Vista Club pier, and further finding in favor of placement of the Loch Vista Club pier under the extended lot line method.

Attorney Pollard argued before the Wisconsin Supreme Court providing clarity to the writ of certiorari deadline for appeals of local board's variance decisions in Moreschi v. Vill. of Williams Bay, 2020 WI 95, ¶ 11, 953 N.W.2d 318, 322.

Pollard has provided land use planning counsel for several subdivisions in Walworth County; including Symphony Bay in Lake Geneva, Stone Ridge in Lake Geneva, Vistas of Lake Geneva in Lake Geneva, Harbor Club in Delavan, The Shores of Delavan in Delavan, Prairie View in Williams Bay, and Walworth Prairie in Walworth.

Attorney Pollard is currently serving as Vice President of the Walworth County Bar Association and as a Director on the Board of Lake Geneva Ministries. He also coaches youth soccer with the YMCA.

Pollard and his wife Anna live in the City of Lake Geneva with their four children: Audrey (6), Emmy (4), Charlie (4), and Gwen (1).
