John W. Peterson’s practice has been directed towards
civil litigation, landlord/tenant law, personal injury,
probate, estate planning, real estate and land use law.
Mr. Peterson’s education includes an undergraduate
degree from Marquette University in 1990, and a law degree
from Marquette University in 2000. Mr. Peterson was one
of twelve graduates who earned the National Sports Law Institute
Certificate in Sports Law. He has been admitted to practice
law in all courts of Wisconsin and in the Eastern District
of the Federal Court for the State of Wisconsin. He graduated
from the Fred Lane Trial Institute held in Chicago in 2003.
Mr. Peterson was appointed as Municipal Judge for the Village
of Walworth in January, 2006.
Upon graduation from Law School, Mr. Peterson opened up
a law office in Walworth, Wisconsin from 2000 to 2004, and
in Elkhorn, Wisconsin in 2005. Mr. Peterson joined Clair
Law Offices in September of 2005.
His community involvement includes an active member of
the Walworth County Bar Association. He was the coach of
the Walworth Grade School Wrestling Team from 2002-2005.
He is a current member of the Delavan Blackhawk’s
Baseball Club and umpires many high school and legion games.
